Kangaroo Island is fortunate that we are isolated from the mainland, but it also brings fearful anticipation of how we would cope with our lack of medical facilities if we had an outbreak on the island. In April 2020 Kangaroo Island businesses went into lock down discouraging visitation. This was very hard for businesses as welcoming tourists is part of our DNA and Australians have responded so well to support Kangaroo Island after the devastating bush fires early in 2020.
Travel has now resumed to most places around Australia, interspersed by intermittent lock downs are required. We are looking forward to welcoming guests back.
For guests whose travel becomes affected by Covid, we are happy to refund you or transfer deposits to future dates. We are all in this together, and that’s the only way we can beat it.

Please DO NOT COME TO THE ISLAND IF UNWELL or you have been in contact with anybody from COVID HOTSPOTS. Attend your OWN medical services. Kangaroo Island is not the place to come and self isolate as a very vulnerable community will be placed at risk.
Wash hands regularly with warm water and soap
Cover any coughing or sneezing with a tissue discarded appropriately or your elbow
Avoid handshakes and sharing personal objects
Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting shared surfaces often
Practice physical distancing and wear masks as required

The cleanliness of Emu Bay Holiday Homes has always been our pride. Additional attention with appropriate disinfection is given to commonly touched areas. All quilt covers, cushion covers are changed every time. Self-check-in allows for low touch tourism but we are always there should you need assistance and will say hi from a safe distance. Hand sanitiser and disinfectant is provided in each unit.

If COVID affects your travel we are happy to refund you are transfer your booking to different dates. Managing this with DIRECT bookings is far easier than third party bookings.
